Busy Since the Break

There's been a lot going on with Mr. Bill's Crew since we returned from Spring Break:

You Say You Want A Revolution...

Learning about England's, and the colony's, systems of government

Using a "Boxing Chart" to record words and ideas about the colonies' grievances with the 1760's British government

Here Come Da' Birds

After many months of preparation, the time to check for bluebirds has come! The monitors for Box #4 were quite excited to see that a bird has already decided the box is home--they discovered an almost fully formed nest in it this week.

Waxing Poetic

Our new language arts genre study is on poetry. As we read a variety of poems, we record our discoveries about how poets use language and structure to convey meaning.

And we're enjoying composing our own poetry and discussing it...as only 21st century learners could do it: with computers.

It's Elementary Geography, My Dear Watson

Our "Post-Crossing" project continues to generate enthusiasm as this week saw several cards sent and received by our crew. We now have a total of 34 cards from around the world on our map.
